Zagori, Greece



One bridge out of many that Epirus has, the bridge of NOUTSOS or KOKKORIS, spans the river of Vikos just where a narrowing in the river by two large rocks takes place. Built in 18th - 19th century, the bridge was built in order to help people move unimpeded.

Tsepelovo is a village in the Zagori region (Epirus region). It stands at a height of 1,200 meters 
in a panoramic location on the mountain range of Tymfi.

It is the biggest of the 45 villages of Zagori and it was the seat of Tymfimunicipality. 

The name of Tsepelovo is of Slavic origin. It lies in the middle of the Vikos-Aoös National Park.

Dry-stone (or in Greek - Kserolithia), is a building method by which structures are constructed
 from stones without any mortar to bind them together.
